Hey all,
I've seen all the Chocolate Threads and thought I'd add a few pics to my gallery and see what you think. This is my 4th year with them and they are starting to come more uniformly Chocolate. Let me know what you think.

that's what i am working on this year...chocolates...i hope to raise alot of them and i want to show some in the coming year...i'm breeding a Bama Bantam Black male over 4 Fawn Sport females hoping to get several...i've got some under a hen and some in the inc. pics of the breeders in my gallery...Haukea is also raising some this year...Brokenegg has been raising them for 4 years...i've talked to Haukea about all of us getting together and showing them...they are still not a recognized variety but i sure do like them myself!!!

SPRING is around the corner and raising some chocolates is a matter of time...i've had to be patient and that's hard for me to do when i want these sooo bad...i'm looking at setting choc eggs under all extra hens so i'm setting up pens with just hens in them to let them sit and hatch my choc eggs...i'll put lots of eggs in my 2 GQ incs. but when i'm waiting and timing a hen to sit...i'll have what i got collected ready to swap under a hen at night...i've been marking my eggs and writing down the day they are supposed to hatch...timming...timming...patience.

a couple of them pictures were made with my phone but now i got a cocky-camera...i posted 3 new photos of me and my black #3 rooster...cocky in 3d!!! lol!!!

DOWN??? i plan on raising alot of them, the hens are laying but not near enough right now...got some in my inc. and some under a hen...4 hens that i'm using...when they get old enough i want to show them...and yes, i'll be selling some too...i would like to see them recognized.

Since everyone is cooking some kind of chocolate in their back yard, I want to start my own project with cocoapop instead of chocolate. I am thinking of crossing my cocoapop silver duckwing serama rooster with a fawn oegb hen to get my color. Let me know what do you guys think of this cocoapop color for oegb. Thanks..JP

very actractive colors on him JP1...are you gonna trim him or leave the comb? he shows the duckwing hackle and saddle color with the chocolate tail...i was thinking also about a mix of fawn and silkie..."cocoa puffs" you might want to try this also...chocolate with that little puff on the head!!!

Thanks Cocky...I don't want to trim him cuz he is a serama but I will trim any of his offspring that look more oegb though. Silkie??? For some reasons, I don't like the silkie feathers but the breeder I got him from told me that he has silkie blood in him.

silkies are great sitters...they look like they have fur...i have sold alot of them over the years but never seem to keep any.
