The Cochins
One of the feather-footed breeds, these chickens tend to be friendly and tame. I wonder if their feathers keep their feet warm in the winter.

| These Buff Cochins were the first purebred
bantams we bought. They came from Kent, WA in May, 2000, at about
3 months old. They are very sweet and friendly. Everyone likes
them a lot.

This is the same pair in February, 2001.
They are parent birds now.

| This pretty pair of Black Cochins came from
Kentucky in June, 2000. They are about 2 months old here. They
are very shy.

These Red Cochin chicks hatched June, 2000.
They're a couple of days old here. They hatched from eggs from
Wisconsin. They turned out to be a pair, and they're huge now.
