Poultry Ring Home Page
This is a home page for the Poultry Ring, to provide
resources, help, and HTML codes for installing the WebRing banner
on a website. The banner is required for a site to be active in
the Ring because the ring functions by linking from site to site.
There is a script available at WebRing that will display all
WebRing memberships in the same banner set. However, some wish to
use regular HTML-designed banners, so here we are.
The Poultry Ring was established in the 1990s and has changed
hands twice since its creation. It serves to link together sites
featuring poultry-related topics, to provide a virtual tour
through these sites. If the whole ring were followed,
theoretically one should be taken from site to site through the
entire list, winding up back at the beginning. That is why it is
called a Web Ring.
Installing the code for the WebRing banner is easy provided
one is able to access the HTML code of the page entered in the
Ring. Anyone developing their own websites on their computer
should be able to do this. Usually there is a function in the web
design program to access the HTML. Some online services also
provide a feature to access the raw HTML. With the raw HTML in
display, simply navigate to the area of the page where the banner
would look the best. That is where to paste in the banner
code.
In the code, replace each and every place where it says
YOUR_SITE_ID_HERE with your site ID number that you got from
WebRing when you signed up. (In the Old Poultry Ring Style,
also replace where it says YOUR_NAME_HERE with your name).
Here is the code to copy and paste into your HTML source code.

navigation bar that will display all WebRings which you are a
member of in one JavaScript code banner.
